At 4 km of Nieuwpoort-Stad you can find Nieuwpoort-Bad, a pleasant family town by the sea with a huge range of recreation possibilities on or by the sandy beach and the traffic free Zeedijk.
A nice long beach with great restaurants and beach bars guarantees lovely beach days. If you want to do some shopping, you should go to the Albert I-laan and the Promenade by the port. They offer you mix of trendy fashion and lifestyle shops.

Fun in and on the water

The reservoir at the right bank of the IJzer is the place to be to enjoy all sorts of recreation in and on the water. You can enjoy a relaxing day out on the sea in an authentic sailing ship, as well as face the waves yourself on a surfing board. There is something for every water lover! Both in the city centre as on the fisher’s quay you can find tons of restaurants, brasseries and bistros, including some excellent restaurants. For diner with a view on the sea and a piece of freshly caught fish on your plate, the Zeedijk in Nieuwpoort-Bad is the place to be. Golfing

Golfing fans will definitely find their way to Westgolf Lombardsijde and Golf ter Hille in Oostduinkerke. Feel free to bring your clubs and go for a hole-in-one on one of these magnificent courses. We have a separate storing space to store your golfing equipment.

Tennis and Paddel

Love to hit a ball every now and then? You can get your kicks at KTC Issera for a game of tennis. In the marina of Nieuwpoort you can now also find a Paddel field at Vynieuwpoort.

De Westhoek and the Great War

Who thinks of the Westhoek, immediately thinks of World War I. The remnants of this sad and historic event can still be seen through the western corner of our little country.
